Project Management

We design and manage projects that meet the needs and aspirations of women and youth, that enable them to:

  • Have greater access to and control of resources,
  • Claim their rights to live a life free from violence,
  • Claim their right to a dignified work, and
  • Represent themselves and their communities’ rights and entitlements through policy and advocacy.

The projects we implement are done according to internationally recognized project management standards.  We ensure that our projects comply with donor requirements.

Quality Control

We understand that a project’s impact and reach are dependent on how well it is managed and implemented. Our teams of professionals ensure that:

  • Financial guidelines are met and accountability ensured,
  • Establish and execute monitoring and evaluation standards,
  • Advise on timely execution of projects,
  • Advise on reporting standards,
  • Ensure donor requirements are met,
  • Advise on designing projects that are gender transformative and conflict sensitive.

Facilitation and Networking

The projects we design and manage include facilitation and networking as a key component. Through our experience, we have learnt that a project’s sustainability is based on how well communities we work with can interact with those who provide them access to resources, markets and capital. We help by connecting communities and beneficiaries to government, civil society and private sector to foster collaboration. We provide expertise in:

  • Value chains – we connect local producers with limited access to markets – to buyers, advice farmers on collective bargaining, and connect them with services that can add value to their products.
  • Community empowerment and mobilization – using our field experience of working with communities, we help mobilize communities, enable innovation and transform their lives.
  • We help connect key stakeholders for collaborative action.

Research and impact assessments

Through our projects research and impact assessment component we provide solutions to problems based on the need of communities, specifically women and youth. This includes understanding the context in which we would implement projects, current issues and data collection.

Enterprise Development

We help women and youth develop enterprises that can help them become financially independent – through innovation, training, market links and collaboration.

Training and Skills development

We help our project beneficiaries acquire training and skills based on their needs. Our projects are tailored to address the skills and training requirements that women and youth require to become economically independent, confident, empowered and take on leadership roles.
