Capacity and Resilience Building of Women-led Businesses

Chrysalis is implementing the “Capacity and Resilience Building of Women-led Businesses” project under the national initiative “Pathways to Peace: Realizing the National Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security in Sri Lanka.” Funded by the Government of Japan in partnership with UN Women, the project strengthens women’s economic resilience and leadership. Through training in product development, financial literacy, marketing, and business mentoring, women entrepreneurs gain the skills and confidence to build stronger, more sustainable businesses. Beyond economic empowerment, the project integrates a vital social cohesion and peacebuilding component. It equips women with tools for conflict analysis, negotiation, mediation, and community-based conflict resolution, enabling them to play active roles in fostering peace and unity within their communities.
