WEAVE II focused on empowering women-headed households in Northern Sri Lanka by strengthening entrepreneurship, supporting viable business ventures, and enhancing linkages with government support systems.
Implemented by Chrysalis with funding from CARE Netherlands and the H&M Foundation, the project aimed to improve economic independence, decision-making power, and sustainable livelihoods for women in post-conflict communities.
The primary beneficiaries included 400 women-headed households, who gained entrepreneurial skills, business support, and strengthened economic resilience, enabling them to contribute actively to family and community development.
This project was made possible through the generous support of our donors, whose contributions played a vital role in planning, implementation, and successful delivery. Their commitment to social impact and sustainable development helped drive meaningful change and ensured that the project objectives were achieved for the benefit of the communities involved.
