Chrysalis has entered into a strategic partnership with DFCC Aloka to further strengthen support for women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across Sri Lanka, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to building inclusive, sustainable livelihoods for women entrepreneurs.
Through this collaboration, Chrysalis will expand its work with women-led businesses by integrating enhanced financial access with its established expertise in capacity building, enterprise development, and grassroots network engagement. The partnership will enable more women entrepreneurs—particularly those at early stages of business growth—to access the tools, knowledge, and institutional support needed to formalize, sustain, and scale their enterprises.
With its strong presence across communities and long-standing engagement with women and producer groups, Chrysalis will play a central role in identifying, preparing, and connecting entrepreneurs to tailored financial solutions offered through DFCC Aloka. This includes facilitating access to credit, strengthening financial literacy, and supporting women to confidently engage with formal banking systems.
Beyond finance, the initiative will deepen Chrysalis’ ongoing efforts to build resilient business ecosystems by providing targeted training, digital tools, and market linkages. Women entrepreneurs will also gain access to wider business networks, industry platforms, and district-level collectives—creating new pathways for visibility, growth, and long-term sustainability.
This partnership further strengthens Chrysalis’ mission to address both the structural and practical barriers faced by women entrepreneurs, ensuring that economic empowerment translates into lasting impact for individuals, families, and communities.
Ashika Madhavi Gunasena, Chief Executive Officer of Chrysalis, stated, “At Chrysalis, we have consistently witnessed the resilience, innovation, and determination of women entrepreneurs across Sri Lanka. This partnership allows us to deepen our impact by ensuring women are not only supported at the community level, but are also meaningfully connected to financial systems, markets, and opportunities that enable long-term growth.”
DFCC Aloka, the women-focused banking proposition of DFCC Bank, will complement this effort by providing inclusive financial solutions and business support services, strengthening the broader ecosystem that enables women-led enterprises to thrive.
Together, Chrysalis and DFCC Aloka aim to accelerate the growth of women-led MSMEs as key contributors to Sri Lanka’s inclusive economic development, ensuring that more women entrepreneurs are equipped, connected, and empowered to succeed.
