The Launch of One-Stop Business Service Centre in Anuradhapura
On 4 August 2025, Chrysalis and UN Women inaugurated a one-stop Business Service Centre (BSC) inside the Anuradhapura District Secretariat, marking a significant step for rural women- and youth-led entrepreneurship.
The centre offers a hub for MSMEs to access government approvals, technical services, registration, training, and market linkages; all under one roof. The Republic of Korea supported the centre’s infrastructure, training, and operations.
MP Nimal Palihena emphasised how the one-step model reduces bureaucratic time and costs, while Chrysalis CEO Ashika Gunasena framed it as part of the broader mission to dismantle systemic barriers facing women entrepreneurs.
