The RTM Project – Meaningful Engagement of Plantation Communities in Democracy and Governance was designed to strengthen the participation of plantation and neighbouring village communities in local democratic and governance processes.
Implemented by Chrysalis with funding from CARE Deutschland-Luxemburg and the European Union – Sri Lanka & Maldives, the project worked to bridge gaps between communities and local authorities, ensuring that marginalised voices, especially from plantation sectors, were heard and represented in decision-making spaces.
