5th Women Mean Business (WmB) Coalition Meeting
In November 2025, Chrysalis convened the fifth Women Mean Business (WmB) Coalition meeting in Colombo, bringing together more than 80 participants from various sectors including government, finance, academia, civil society, and women-led business networks.
The coalition discussed systemic reforms across six thematic areas: policy regulation, finance access, market inclusion, climate finance, entrepreneurial culture, and gender-based violence.
Chrysalis CEO Ashika Gunasena reaffirmed the coalition’s focus on building a policy and financial environment that “recognizes and responds to women’s economic realities.”
UNDP’s Sri Lanka Resident Representative, Azusa Kubota, pledged continued support, highlighting joint commitment to evidence-based, gender-responsive SME policy interventions.
