Strengthening Women’s Economic Leadership: Chrysalis at International Women’s Day 2024
For International Women’s Day 2024, Chrysalis collaborated with the Northern Provincial Ministry of Women’s Affairs to highlight the economic contributions of women entrepreneurs. Held across 6–7 March in Jaffna, the event featured an exhibition of locally produced, value-added goods crafted by women-led micro and small enterprises supported by Chrysalis. These stalls created new opportunities for market exposure, customer engagement, and brand visibility, especially for entrepreneurs operating in underserved or post-conflict regions. Beyond the exhibition, the event celebrated the national theme, “Rapid progress through women’s investment,” emphasising the importance of economic inclusion, enterprise development, and gender-responsive policymaking. Chrysalis’s participation strengthened its mission to link women’s economic empowerment with long-term resilience and leadership. The event concluded with networking sessions and recognition of women innovators driving community transformation.
